Unto us a child has been given...

"Unto us a child has been given...unto us a savior has been born." Mary's child can easily be called the first gift of Christmas from a loving and eternal God. As I grow older, and with most of my family gone; I reflect a lot at this time of year. I can't bring my grandparents and parents back and celebrate those wonderful Christmas times in my past nor would I want to. They are resting in the arms of God whose son is the reason for this season anyway. So for right now I will invite into my home, at this time of year, those who are lonely, who have no family to spend this wonderful season with. After all, God shared himself with us in the form of his son, so the least we can do is share his heart through us with the rest of his kids.
